Monthly Thursday Schedule

All Canada orders are consolidated and shipped once per month on the last Thursday of each month via Purolator or Canada Post from the Bensalem, Pennsylvania warehouse. This monthly consolidation model reduces per-order shipping costs and simplifies customs processing by grouping all Canadian orders into a single consolidated shipment.

How the Monthly Schedule Works

Order deadline: Tuesday by 5pm EST before the last Thursday of the month
Shipping day: Last Thursday of each month
Missed the cutoff? Your order ships on the last Thursday of the following month
Reminder emails: Sent the weekend before each month's Canada shipping date

Tuesday 5pm EST is a hard deadline. Orders must be submitted through checkout AND payment must process successfully by Tuesday 5pm. Orders with pending payment verification after 5pm miss that month's Thursday shipment regardless of when the shopping cart was started. There are no exceptions — warehouse staff prepare Thursday shipments Tuesday evening through Wednesday.

Plan ahead for time-sensitive projects. If you need fabric by a specific date, work backward from the delivery timeline (3–13 business days from Thursday shipment) plus the monthly schedule. Orders placed after the Tuesday deadline may wait up to a full month before shipping. Place orders early in the month to ensure deadline compliance.

Taxes, Duties & Brokerage — We Handle Everything

Wazoodle handles ALL import duties, customs, brokerage fees, and applicable taxes for Canadian shipments. The price you see at checkout is your complete delivered cost — no surprise bills at delivery.

HST or GST: Depending on your destination province — essential for your bookkeeping

Tax Rates by Province

Ontario: 13% HST
British Columbia: 5% GST + 7% PST = 12% total
Alberta: 5% GST
Quebec: 5% GST + 9.975% QST = 14.975% total
Atlantic provinces (NB, NS, NL, PEI): 15% HST
Territories: 5% GST

All payments processed in USD only. Wazoodle does not accept Canadian Dollars. Your credit card or PayPal converts USD to CAD at your financial institution's exchange rate. Canadian businesses cannot remove HST/GST at checkout.

Total delivery time from Thursday shipment: 3–13 business days depending on your province. Packages follow a consistent route from the warehouse to your door.

Friday: Clears customs and arrives at Etobicoke, Ontario consolidation facility (1 business day)
Monday/Tuesday: Processed into Canada Post or Purolator local delivery systems (1–2 business days)
Delivery: 1–10 business days depending on province and distance from Ontario

These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Winter storms, holiday periods (November–December), customs delays, and rural vs. urban location can each add 1–3 days. Tracking updates once the package enters the Canadian postal system after customs clearance.

Choosing Purolator or Canada Post

Most orders outside Ontario and Quebec ship via Canada Post. Carrier assignment follows these general rules:

Default Carrier Assignment

Outside Ontario & Quebec: Canada Post (default for all other provinces)
Ontario & Quebec with a 0 (zero) in the postal code: Canada Post
Ontario & Quebec without a 0 in the postal code: Purolator or Canada Post

If you have a preference for a specific carrier, add a note in the Order Notes field at checkout requesting either Canada Post or Purolator. Wazoodle will accommodate carrier requests where possible.

Free Shipping & Combining Orders

Free shipping is not available for Canadian orders regardless of order size. Due to the bulky nature of fabrics and the costs of international consolidated shipping, all Canadian orders pay calculated shipping costs. Coupons and discounts apply to fabric prices only, not shipping charges.

Combining Multiple Orders

Orders can be combined only if both are placed before the Tuesday 5pm EST deadline for the same monthly Thursday shipment
Place your new order and add a note: "Please combine with Order #[number] and ship together"
A $10 fee applies to combined orders (covers recalling and repacking from the warehouse)
Shipping savings are issued as a coupon code for future orders — not a cash refund
Orders placed after the Tuesday 5pm EST cutoff cannot be combined with that month's shipment
